The deceased shall be transferred to Instituto Nacional de Patología Forense (Forensic Pathology Institute) to have an autopsy performed.

Once received the body to Forensic Pathology Institute, we need 3 working days to prepare the documents and to perform all the steps that rule the Repatriation Matter. To begin with the process, the family member in charge (spouse or husband, and in lack of them the children) must sign some documents in which they authorize us to proceed with the case.

If the family chooses cremation, we proceed with the formalities for sending the ashes. They must be sent by commercial airplane (NO BY FEDEX or UPS). To start with the proceedings of cremation, the family member who is in charge, shall fill the adequate documents.
